Mountain Vista Communities, the Fort Huachuca Housing/Maintenance Company, is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position on Fort Huachuca, Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 4pm, with occasional over-time requirements.
The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Maintenance Technician must provide exceptional customer service while assessing and repairing the property. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will:
Perform HVAC repairs to residential heating and cooling systems.
Perform basic electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc. and light plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.
Replace broken glass, tile, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, draperies, locks.
Assist in custodial and grounds work, including pulling weeds, playground clean-up, etc.
Maintain and/or repair household appliances to include stoves, ovens, dishwashers and refrigerators while maintaining a neat and orderly work area
Minimum 1-year experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical, HVAC, electrical
Must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws and applicable regulations including, but not limited to EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics and refrigerant.
Preferred certifications in any or all of the following: HVAC, EPA, Renovate Right and other specialties such as; Mold, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.
Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws and regulations.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English
