Assistant Facility Security Officer

Our client in Herndon VA is immediately hiring for a AFSO to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent role and pay will vary based on years of experience. Qualified candidates will have an interview scheduled within 48 hours of resume submission.Job Qualifications

2 to 3 years of Facility Security experience

Must have a completed a bachelor's Degree

Experience and working knowledge of the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), and the National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM)

Must have strong knowledge of JPAS and e-QIP programs

Job Responsibilities

Assists the FSO with the overall security program

Tracks security clearance investigations and performs administrative support functions, including Joint -Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) administration

Assist FSO's with coordination of closeout for all classified projects

Processes new employee security clearances

Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections

Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel
