The Sr. IT / Cyber Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects and is responsible for project management and facilitation of high priority or medium to high complexity project(s). This position supports the Enterprise Information Services for Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Operations Office (DOE-SR) federal government staff and site contractors at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken SC. Roles and Responsibilities:

Leads technical and non-technical teams to work together in completing project tasks.

Act as the liaison between the executive leadership, business sponsors, IT and vendors to create project schedules, milestones and delivery dates.

Expedite the process when necessary to ensure that projects are completed on time.

Identify process and workflow issues and fine-tune schedules as necessary based on the team’s overall priorities.

Participate in project Kickoff meetings and coordinate approvals at every project stage.

Acts as the point of effective control over coordination, communication, escalation, and follow up for issues.

Providing on-going communication regarding project status or budget issues.

Utilizes and updates project management tools as necessitated by the project.

Track and provide reporting regarding scope, progress, risks and issues.

Communicates project status often and regularly to all project stakeholders.

Skilled in use of burn charts and task boards.

Works with all IT organizations and business clients to maintain good business relationships and practices.

Qualifications/Requirements:

10 plus years of IT project management experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management or IT related field preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.

Must possess a "Q" level security clearance.

Experience managing multiple projects of all sizes simultaneously.

Working experience managing projects following PMI aligned methodologies to include defining scope, estimating resources, scheduling deliverables, budgeting and managing costs, assessing and mitigating risks, establishing communication plans.

An effective communicator (oral and written).

Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.

Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

Ability to work with technical and non-technical cross functional teams.

Ability to motivate team members and gain group consensus.

Ability to work professionally with individuals and diverse groups.

Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
