Cenikor Foundation is a non profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor for our adolescent inpatient facility in Houston, TX.Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 4pmJOB SUMMARY:Performs and oversees all appropriate duties related to the protection, safeguarding, and securing of assets, personnel and residents/clients at the facility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Continuously monitor health, security and well being of clients by ensuring facility is secure and residents are off the floor and in rooms at appropriate times.

Perform head count nightly, complete reports of nightly rounds, investigate and complete related reports on all safety and security situations and communicate emergency situations, including medical emergencies, to the appropriate authorities and staff members.

Perform random monthly drug screening (UA and breath scan), on all clients.

Transport residents as needed, monitor transportation board and Vocational Services lineout, and ensure all clients are on time and ready to leave the facility for work.

Handle quality assurance on all food service operations such as Breakfast and Vocational Services lunches? ensuring a staff member actually helps with the preparation of these tasks.

Follow all established and appropriate medical procedures related to distribution of medications, ensure all medical sheets, medications and paperwork is filed nightly and when necessary take temperature of clients not feeling well, documenting results properly and informing day staff.

Ensure all appropriate medical tasks are handled timely, including: handling gold card paperwork properly, logging in all incoming prescription medication daily, checking Medline refrigerator temperature daily and recording prescription medication and ?over the counter medication? inventory weekly.

Perform nightly inspections on vehicles, including checking oil, tire pressure, gas, etc., record results, record mileage, and prepare standard maintenance reports.

Follow standard safety practices including conducting twice monthly fire drills, see that fire extinguishers are tagged and up-to-date, and check that facility door locks and alarm sounds are operating properly. Strip and wax floors monthly.

Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.

Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the non-exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of security operations and safety practices.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and residents.

Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures;

Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.

Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours.

Knowledge of Therapeutic Community preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

One year security/safety experience preferred

Previous supervisory experience preferred
