Robert Half Legal is urgently staffing a long-term, remote, legal research project for a government agency in Michigan. Paralegals and Attorneys (licensed and unlicensed) will be considered! Candidates must be Michigan residents and available during normal business hours for at least 3+ months.

Start: Anticipated the week of September 21st

Duration: 3 months (possibility of extension)

Pay: $21/hour for paralegals and JDs; $23/hour for licensed attorneys

Location: Work from home with technology provided

Hours: Normal business hours (40 hours per week required)

Requirements:

Candidates must be Michigan residents; this is a contractual requirement and exceptions are not possible

Candidates must have reliable internet service and a home workspace where they can work uninterrupted between normal business hours.

Paralegal Degree (or comparable experience) or Juris Doctorate Degree required; law licensure is not required, though licensed attorney candidates are invited to apply

Role: This project involves gathering facts, interviewing witnesses, and preparing summaries of underlying evidence associated with a client's claims. Candidates will conduct research, place outbound phone calls using client-provided technology, and synthesize their findings into an opinion and recommendation pursuant to training and procedures. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent judgement, strong communication skills, and an analytical mind.
