Owner operators needed hauling new vehicles from RR to Dealers (Laurel, MT)

Sierra Mountain Express is looking to for Independent contractors to help deliver new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Laurel, MT from railhead. 6,000 sign on . requirements below.

Perform Pre- Inspection of all units assigned and fill out the appropriate paperwork.

Have a delivery receipt and load sheet for units assigned.

At time of delivery, assure all paperwork is signed by both parties and is taken back to the terminal manager for processing.

Load units for delivery and unload at the destination on the bill of lading.

Pick-up and delivery units in route, and return to point of origin.

Compile to DOT allotted hours in a work day all DOT rules.

Perform physical inspections on trucks before leaving yard on your truck; for but not limited to: condition of tires, check fluid levels, verify signals and lights are working.

Maintain familiarity with the vehicle shipping requirements of all customers.

Firm knowledge of proper behavior and procedure when unloading at the dealership.

Carefully inspect all vehicles before loading.

Owner operator must know about unique vehicle characteristics, for example, disabling automatic load-leveling devices.

Owner operator must know how to plan their load, that is, which vehicle goes into which slot.

Deliver on time and safely.

Qualifications:

Must have 3 years' experience as an Class A truck driver.

Be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and pull down tie bars, up to 75 pounds.

Applicant is at least 23 years of age.

DMV record of no more than 2 moving violations within 3 years.

Must be able to read, speak, and write English fluently.
