In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Animal Health Technician 1 for our Insourcing Solutions site located in Carlsbad.The following are responsibilities related to the Animal Health Technician 1: Cares for the animals used in research and development studies. Performs duties related to the maintenance of experimental animals such as feeding and caring for animals, cleaning cages, holding animals for treatment by laboratory technician or maintaining inventory and animal identification records. Performs cleaning/sanitation of animal facility and equipment. Responsible for bio-safety and bio-security of the animals. May partner with pre-clinical investigators to assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, post-op care and monitoring of animal studies.The following are minimum qualifications related to the Animal Health Technician 1: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related discipline or CVT/LVT/RVT and no experience OR High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year related husbandry and technical experience required.About Insourcing SolutionsCharles River Insourcing Solutions℠ can streamline research by delivering operational and cost efficiencies through the strategic insourcing of GMP, GLP and non-GLP research services from discovery through safety assessment.
