Prep chef / dish (Chagrin falls)

Umami is hiring We are looking for motivated person to join our team, we are a small ,busy, restaurant in downtown chagrin falls , we are presently offering take out service only, due to COVID and our very small dining room! so our requirements are a little unique at this time, we are a 'scratch kitchen ' ,so everything is prepared on site using high quality ingredients,local when possible .

Typically we have 3 people in the kitchen ,but at this time only require 2 , so I'm looking for a right hand man for my head chef, so prepping with him during the afternoon, then once service starts ,switching to dish , dishes are minimal during service ,as there are no plates etc ,just pans , but fast paced all the same ! also helping with preparing salads and appetizers .this would be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning more about cooking high quality food , my chef is very accomplished and very willing and proficient at teaching anyone who is interested in his craft ! There is definitely room to advance from this postion to prep / sous chef once we move to in house dining .

We are a socially responsible establishment, only 4 of the same staff working right now , and have a contact free take out / pick up system that works well.
