The Cook Assistant supports the cook by purchasing, preparing and delivering food products, cleaning kitchen facilities, and maintaining sanitary standards in compliance with USDA guidelines, sanitation safety rules and procedures.
Year-round position, 40 hours per hours, plus excellent benefits!RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares foods that are culturally and age appropriate.
Assists in the maintenance of food service records and other documentation in compliance with USDA regulations.
Delivers food service in a safe, healthy and timely manner to the classroom.
Ensures that the environment for food preparation is maintained in a sanitary condition.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
Must have food handler’s card or be able to obtain one immediately upon employment.
Current First Aid card and current infant/child CPR.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures as well as kitchen equipment operations is highly desirable.
Experience in a commercial kitchenEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in meal preparation and planning. BENEFITS:
