The Company: Pathways Vermont is a dynamic nonprofit agency that is ending homelessness and offering innovative mental health alternatives

The Role: The Support Line Outreach Associate is a member of the state-wide administrative team and acts as a liaison for community partners, conducts outreach to promote the Vermont Support Line, and prepares regular reports on the Vermont Support Line for Pathways staff. The Support Line Outreach Associate works closely with the Development Team, Vermont Support Line Leadership, and the Assistant Director.

Location: Throughout Vermont

Employment Status: Temporary Full Time

Responsibilities:

Attend community meetings to share information/updates about Pathways and the Vermont Support Line (VSL)

Submit weekly reports to Pathways Vermont Assistant Director outlining:

Weekly VSL caller information Social Media VSL outreach efforts effectiveness Targeted education VSL outreach efforts and effectiveness Conduct VSL outreach to Designated Agencies, etc. including:

Disseminating VSL stickers, magnets and flyers to increase VSL use statewide In-person and virtual meeting with community partners and Pathways staff regarding VSL Create and manage a VSL outreach database Available for VSL On-Call Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience (preferably with persons who have experienced homelessness or have a psychiatric disability) and at least 3-5 years relevant experience

Strong skills in database entry and computer programs (including Google Apps, Internet browsers, electronic medical record, etc.)

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as well as possess strong problem-solving skills, work ethic, and computer proficiency

Must be able to work flexible hours

Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle required

Ability to travel statewide

Excellent verbal and written communication

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Ability to ascend and descend stairs regularly to attend community meetings and meet with prospective service recipients

Frequent use of personal vehicle and driving throughout the state for meetings

Regular operation of a computer and other office machinery including typing

Frequent talking and listening in the participation of exchanging ideas through spoken word and occasional receipt and giving of detailed information through oral communication

Moderate reading responsibilities

Occasionally lifting and carrying 30 pounds

Occasional exposure to outside environmental conditions for outreach events and meeting with service recipients

Occasional exposure to high levels of noise and persons who are upset, angry or in an extreme state

Occasional reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting of arms to participate in cleaning and space organization
