Seasonal workers assist in the harvest, packing, and processing of crops for the months of September-November. Workers also maintain the quality of the farm, crops, and buildings under the supervision of the Operations Manager at SAUK FARM LLC.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma strongly recommended but not necessary. Employees will receive on the job training necessary to preform required tasks by the Operations Manager.

Able to follow all CDC and Washington State guidelines for safe workplaces during COVID-19 pandemic wearing mask/face covering for entire shift except when on break or working independently at a safe distance from others, regular facility sanitizing, wearing gloves and following strict food safety guidelines when handling food products. PPE is provided.

ABILITIES

Multilimb Coordination – the ability to coordinate two or more limbs while

sitting, standing, or lying down.

Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand

together with your arm, or your tow hands to grasp, manipulate, or

assemble objects.

Speech Recognition – The ability to identify and understand the speech of

another person.

Physical Stamina and Strength – The ability to exert your body over a

long duration of time and the ability to exert a high physical intensity.

Rate Control – The ability to time your movements or the movement of a

piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object.

SKILLS

Operation Monitoring – watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make

sure a machine is working properly.

Operation and Control – controlling operations of equipment or systems.

Active Listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying,

taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as

appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Coordination – Adjust actions in relations to others’ actions.

DUTIES

General farm activities and maintenance

Harvest and inspect crops by hand

Wash and pack fruit by hand

Assist in the processing of raw fruits into various value added products

Assist in co-processing of other farms products into value added products

Equipment Maintenance

Clean and inspect equipment as instructed

Assist in the Operations Manager with equipment maintenance

Building Maintenance

Keep barns clean and clear of debris. Includes vacuuming and

sweeping when instructed.

Cleaning and maintaining the Ag workshop

Kitchen/bathroom cleaning log (weekly).

Ag workshop cleaning log (as necessary by visual inspection).

All processing logs depending on activities scheduled for the day as determined by the Operations Manager.

Follow SAUK FARM established policies as outlined in the Employee Manual, GMP, Food Safety Plan, and any other polices not listed here.

PAY

$13.50 - $15 per hour depending on experience level and qualifications
