LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) (HAGATNA, GU)

HagatnaMED clinic is expanding and we're seeking qualified applicants for the following position:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Demonstrates ability to carry out skills as outlined in nursing procedures for clinical areas

worked including administration of prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with

nursing standards and clinic policy.

Participates in preparing patients for clinic appointments

Obtains a complete set of vital signs including a pain score at each visit.

Ensure patient flow is timely and accurate throughout the clinic

Reviews and documents patient medications

Checks equipment daily to ensure accurate functioning

As directed by supervising Registered Nurse:

Access central venous access device (port/hickman) according to clinic policy

Obtain blood samples as ordered by physician

Start hydration fluids per the rate ordered by physician.

Preps charts in advance of patient office/nurse only visit:

Ensures chart is current on ordered scans, lab work and any corresponding physician notes

Recent hospital admit and discharge summaries as indicated

Monitor incoming phone calls

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment

-Must have reliable transportation

-Must have experience and high level competency in using EMR/EHR technology
