Position SummaryAssumes 24-hour accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing services/ E.D., of the Ludington hospital. This includes overseeing between 45-50 staff members.#160;#160; Develops policies, procedures and processes, in coordination with other leaders, to ensure the highest quality services are provided at all times to all customers. Assures presence of a supportive and healthy work environment that promotes retention and embraces diversity. Key responsibilities include staff scheduling, patient relations conversations, unit based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement, supports a culture of safety and maintenance of interprofessional collaborative relationships.Target start date for this role will be in July 2020.#160;Basic Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required Experience - 2 years of relevant experience in clinical nursing and 1 year of relevant experience in managing a nursing unitRegistered Nurse (RN)#160; Nursing Administration or Professional (Specialty) Certification, for#160;Regional Hospitals, required within#160;1 year of obtaining#160;Manager role Basic Life Support (BLS), Required Within 90 Days Preferred Qualifications: Education - Master's Degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration or related field is strongly preferredExperience leading an Emergency Department is strongly preferredFamiliarity with EPIC, API Scheduling, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Excel.
