Job Title: Lead Float Caregiver
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8a-4:30pm
Location: Greater Tri Cities
Compensation: $15.50/hr
Summary: The Lead Float Caregiver’s primary responsibility is to provide direct in-home care services. The Lead Float Caregiver must be flexible and willing to assist clients with varied diagnoses and needs and be willing to drive to clients’ homes regardless of the distance. When not providing direct care, the Lead Float Caregiver may be asked to assist with 1:1 caregiver training and general office work.

Requirements:
1. Active WA State NAC/CNA license or HCA license
2. Nurse Delegated (preferred but not required)
3. CPR certification
4. One-year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
5. GED or high school diploma
6. Reliable transportation with proof of valid state license and auto insurance
7. To pass required background checks
8. To be dependable and trustworthy

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide client care as scheduled, for start-up, emergency or fill-in assignments
Establish a positive relationship with client care team to facilitate good communication and awareness of each other’s needs
Establish positive relationships with clients, client representatives, and client’s family, and communicate with the supervisor, client and/or family to ensure clear job responsibilities
Observe and report changes, incidents, concerns, and general information to the supervisor by phone and in client notes
Read and understand the client care plan and follow directions
Take direction from supervisors, clients, family members, licensed staff, and health care professionals
Provide care for people from various backgrounds without regard to age, creed, race, religion, gender, veteran status, national origin, culture, sexual orientation, marital status or disability
Perform general household chores, e.g.: bed making, linen changes, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying the trash
Assist with meal preparation, plan and prepare meals, read a recipe and follow directives for special diets
Use household and kitchen appliances such as vacuum, toaster, stovetop and oven, safely and appropriately
Assist clients with, or perform personal care tasks such as bed or sponge bath, shower bathing, incontinence care, colostomy and ileostomy care, skin care and turn schedules, transfers, assistance with ambulation and range of motion, mouth care, reminders, and assistance with medication
Assist clients with, or perform activities of daily living, such as: shaving, oral hygiene, hair care, dressing and undressing, and assistance with make-up and oral feeding
Demonstrate knowledge and practice of standard precautions and infection control
Follow policies and procedures including but not limited to time and attendance, documentation, punctuality, behavior, safety and dress code
Show patience, kindness, and sensitivity with all clients
Promote independence and dignity for all clients
Represent Family Resource Home Care in a professional manner
Office duties as assigned from time to time
Working Conditions:
Home Care Professionals provide care to assigned clients in their place of residence which can vary in size, cleanliness, temperature, location, have or not have the presence of smoking, pets, noise, odors, allergens etc.
Providing Healthcare also may place HCPs in contact with Bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases.
Home Care Professionals primarily work unsupervised.
Physical Requirements:
Role may require frequent standing, walking, sitting, keyboarding, and driving. Occasional twisting, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling or squatting. Seldom work above shoulders, and operation of equipment.
Position will require the employee to talk and hear.
Lifting can range from frequent 10 lbs. or less to seldom lifting of greater than 50 lbs.
