Sr Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Mechanical Designer that is capable of creating 3D CAD models and drawings during the preliminary design phase of the engine program. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design of gas turbine engines. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Will report to a mechanical design manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Prefer NX (CAD) experience (5 years), but CATIA is also acceptablePrefer Teamcenter (Product Lifecycle Management software) experiencePrefer Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering or other 4-year Engineering degreePrefer experience with design of structural and/or systems aircraft components
