Part Time: Kats Wine & Spirits - Service Leader & Wine Consultant (Jackson)

We are looking for a communicative and friendly spirit to pleasantly

welcome, serve, and appreciate our clientele. Candidates must be

adept at logically prioritizing needs and allocating efforts to serve

our team environment. While formal experience with wine is not

required, a genuine interest in wine is essential. Paid wine

education is provided via in-store training and periodic tastings to

enable the position holder to provide thoughtful service to our

customers.

The position starts at up to $10 per hour "base" pay, plus overtime as

applicable. In addition to the base pay, monthly bonuses will be made

available based on performance. Additional increases in base pay are

available to those who grow their knowledge to drive sales with

thoughtful service. Knowledgeable candidates who excel will start at

a higher rate.

Hours are mostly weekday afternoons, early evenings, and rotating

Saturdays. Occasional nights may be needed as part of our team

rotation. So long as there's communication, our team works well

together to enable workable individual schedules.

Even if the position holder's future lies in another field, the

knowledge of wine attained in this position will be a valuable social

and professional resource for years to come. An abundance of wine

knowledge can be as powerful as a great golf game in the business

world!

APPLICANTS MUST:

- Be at least 21.

- Present certification of at least 36 college hours with a 2.875 GPA

(OR) a continuous post-graduate work and/or service history with

references.

- Present a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.

- Pass motor vehicle review with a favorable driving record and no DUIs.

- Meet pre and post-employment requirements including comprehensive

background checks and drug screenings.

- Obtain MS Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) licenses by passing state

(Mississippi) and federal (FBI) background checks.
