Maintenance Assistant (Jamestown)

C.O.D.E. Inc. provides safe, sanitary, and affordable housing to families in the City of Jamestown. We also administer grants to help improve the community.

We are seeking a Part Time Maintenance Assistant for our fast paced environment. CODE has 150 apartment units. Most of the units are centrally located, however there are a few scattered site units.

The Prospective Candidate must:

- Be able to perform and prioritize work orders.

- Have a positive attitude and eager to learn.

- Have strong communication skills to communicate with employees and tenants.

- Be on time and on call if need be.

- Strong organizational and planning skills to organize work orders.

- Have the ability to complete work orders efficiently, effectively, and to do so independently.

- The ability to troubleshoot.

- Have knowledge in all phases of Maintenance: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc

- Own your own tools.

- The ability to lift and carry items over 60 lbs.

- The ability to stand and be on your feet for multiple hours, sometimes in inclement weather.

- Have a valid Driver's License and dependable vehicle.

- Be able to pass a drug and criminal background check.

- High school Diploma or equivalent required.

We are hoping to find the right candidate to grow with the company. Pay rate will be decided by the prospective candidates knowledge of maintenance.
