Sexual Assault Advocate - Full Time $16.18/hr with generous benefits

The Sexual Assault Advocate will provide emotional support, information, referrals and will accompany survivors to any services they choose to engage with such as hospital-based sexual assault exams, meetings with law enforcement, prosecutors, Title IX investigators, court/judicial hearings. The Sexual Assault Advocate will work collaboratively with law enforcement, prosecutors, campus partners, medical personnel and others on behalf of the sexual assault survivor.

Participation in a paid rotation of after-hours on-call (weeknight, weekend, and holiday), with other client services staff is required. After-hours on-call involves responding to calls on our 24 hour hotline from community members or professionals who need help regarding sexual assault, child sexual abuse and domestic violence. Must be able to respond in person to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY within 45 minutes. Ability to navigate stairs, periods of sitting. Standing and movement required.

On Call Advocate - Full Time $16.18/hr with generous benefits

The On Call Advocate will assess the needs of community members who reach out for services through our hotline. They will provide immediate support, information, referrals and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse, as well as to non-offending family members, professionals and others who are supporting victims.

After-hours on-call involves responding to calls on our 24 hour hotline from community members or professionals who need help regarding sexual assault, child sexual abuse and domestic violence. Housing Advocate - Full Time $16.18/hr with generous benefits

The Housing Advocate will provide trauma informed support, advocacy and case management services to residents in our nine-bed confidential safe house as well as to non-residential survivors. Case management services will include helping service users build personal and social service resources that can assist with rent, security deposits, utility setup, relocation costs, and household needs along with developing and maintaining relevant and meaningful housing case plans. Regular meetings with survivors to support case plan accomplishment and to provide overall support will be required. Services will be provided at our shelter, at our main office, in the community and in the home of the service recipient.

This position works in a non-handicap accessible location. Applicants must be able to ascend/descend stairs, travel between job sites, and have the ability to lift up to 50 pound boxes to a height of 2-3 feet and load them into a car.
