Marketing Assistant/Sales Associate (Acampo)

Enjoy working in the agricultural and horse industry? We are looking for the right energetic and reliable individual to join our team. This is a full-time position as Marketing Assistant/Salesperson for a candidate with an education in Marketing along with a good working knowledge of trailers and horses.

The Trailer Specialist is a trailer dealership in Acampo, CA. We sell horse and livestock trailers, equipment, dump, car and enclosed cargo trailers, along with providing a full-service center and parts department. We are a family-owned company, have been in business for 32 years, and are located in Acampo on Highway 99 (between Lodi and Galt).

Job description includes:

Managing company website – enhancing and auditing all copy

Managing online advertising to include-

Post all individual trailer ads

Study all product specs in order to write detailed, accurate ads

Take pictures of inventory

Take videos of inventory

Audit all postings

Remove/add ads of sold/new units as necessary

Research new sites for advertising

Craigslist postings

Managing Social Media accounts - Handle reviews

Tag all trailers on lot with pricing information

Clean and decorate living quarter trailers to enhance marketability

Develop marketing emails, develop new signage as needed

Salesperson -

provide backup sales assistance as needed on busy days

Help customer determine the right trailer for their needs

Write sales quotes, serving customers by phone, email and in person

Answer phones and provide customer assistance

Qualifications include:

General knowledge of trailers

Experience with horses

Professional appearance

Good computer experience

Good communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Good language and writing skills

Able to work in inclement weather, whether hot, cold, windy or rainy

Able to walk the large lot as needed to provide customer service, take pictures and tag trailers

Good math skills – able to add, subtract, divide and multiply quickly and accurately.

Able to study and learn about the large variety of trailers in stock and remember the specifications on each as necessary to help the customer or post an accurate ad.

Some Saturdays will be required with a rotating schedule of Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.
