Accounts Payable Clerk

DescriptionSeeking a full-time Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to join the team at an innovative company in the Manufacturing and distribution industry. The Accounts Payable Specialist will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks and expense reports. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The full-time opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Petaluma, California area.Major responsibilities

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Execute full-cycle A/P

Assist with internal and external audits as needed

Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

Provide support to internal business partners

Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

Requirements

Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

5+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Command of Batch Records

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Deep understanding of 10 Key Skills

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
