Our "At Your Service" philosophy allows us to empower employees to provide exceptional patient care.Healthy Living Network - "At Your Service!"The HR Specialist is responsible for the processing and reporting of payroll, processing personnel changes, supporting the day to day questions from employees, onboarding and off-boarding for the Company in accordance with Federal and State laws and established Company policies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcessing weekly payroll responsibilities which includes reviewing and editing timecards, entering and correcting all pay records and timely submission of the information. First point of contact for agencies and employees to answer day to day HR questions.
Ability to process payroll for 3-5 agencies in a timely, and efficient manner.
Keep clear and concise time keeping records, obtain approvals and document all exceptions.
Prepare payroll reports for management including Certified Payroll, Head Counts, vacation, CA Sick Leave, and company sick leave accruals, OT, FTE and others.
Maintain payroll records in accordance with Federal/State laws, Company policy and best practices.
Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely manner by referring to the Company’s payroll policies, as well as Federal/State laws.
Process manual checks for terminations and prepare term packets.
Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed payroll procedures.
Onboard new hires through ICIMs including creating new email address, WellSky credentials, Relias credentials and send a welcome email when scheduling orientation.
Create and maintain personnel files for agencies in assigned coverage area
Send weekly compliance reporting to agencies with information on competencies to keep all items up to date.
Complete off-boarding including sending correct term packet on behalf of the agency.
Ability to audit payroll completed by others to identify any mistakes before payroll is sent.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and agency leadership.
Ability to work well with others and demonstrate “At Your Service” customer service to assigned agencies.
Oversee payroll updates such as: salary changes, benefit deductions, employee info and salary deferrals.
Respond to EDD notices in a timely manner
Process any judgements per instructions provided in the orders
Education and Experience
Bachelors’ Degree preferred
1 to 2 years’ experience in running payroll for medium size companies
1-3 years Experience with ADP/ WFN
1-3 years Experience with Certified Payroll
1-3 years Experience with HR
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Hands on payroll processing experience
Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations and procedures
Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures
Knowledge of payroll/HRIS systems
Ability to prioritize tasks and excel in a fast-paced environment
Must be detail oriented and comfortable working with deadlines
Excellent organization and mathematical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate to advance experience with Windows-based programs
