Production Associate II - Bread

PURPOSE STATEMENT

In these positions, Line Workers perform tasks specific to the Bread production or Bread packing areas of the Bread Department.

May be asked to perform tasks in any of the areas of the Frozen Dough and / or Cake Departments.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Know the requirements for each product in the specific department (can be up to 50 products in some departments)

Sort, Score, Align, Cut, fold, twist, add toppings or decoration to the product

Make sure that the product meets specifications for weight, length, color, toppings, decorations etc.

Discard or recycle product that does not meet specifications

Be able to keep up with the speed of the line

Pack product into shipping boxes, stack, label and palletize

Assist other Departments as required

Authorized in LOTO

Trained and validated to sanitize line

Ability to twist snails or mold bread to spec and at line speed.

Ability to pack all products including those with paper liner in spec and at line speed.

Operate Box Machine as part of job rotation

Operate motorized pallet jack (certification required)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / OUTCOMES

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferable; or 3 months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required

Ability to read and understand English preferred.

Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. These include : Constant Standing, walking, and lifting Frequent Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Pushing and Pulling Occasional Ladder climbing Periodic lifting of up to 35 lbs
