Field and Pathology trials as well as Greenhouse activities for local and global breeding programs with the goal of developing hybrids that provide the highest return to growers.

You will be responsible for activities relating to variety development and registration from seeding to harvest including seed set up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, pollination management, plot maintenance, parental development, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as required.

You will also be involved in plant and crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of material in the GH field and research plots, data collection and analysis.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…Qualifications:

Your strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing or having obtained your degree in Agriculture or another college along with experience in the Agriculture Industry will be invaluable in your day to day activities

Your ability to demonstrate problem solving skills will allow for minimal interruption in day to day activities

Your ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise will minimize the impact on results and ensure efficiencies are not lost

Your experience in canola development and agronomy as well as Greenhouse and Pathology will be an asset

Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals

Previous farm or machinery experience would be an asset but not required and can be attained on the job
