Advanced Bionics / USA / Valencia (CA) Quality Control Inspector I

What you'll do :

Main Tasks & Responsibilities :

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Responsible for performing visual, mechanical and electrical inspections at subassembly and final assembly levels.

DUTIES :

1. Perform visual and mechanical inspections at sub-assembly and final assembly levels, using engineering drawings / specifications and general quality control standards.

2. Records inspection data.

3. Review manufacturing documentation to ensure that all assembly, testing and inspection steps were performed in accordance to specifications.

4. Flexibility is a must; inspectors are cross trained in all areas.

5. Overtime is required when needed.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

7. May be required to travel between both manufacturing sites

What you bring to the team :

EXPERIENCE : One to two years of inspection experience in a medical device company is desired, but not mandatory.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawing / specifications. Capability to understand and follow written inspection procedures.

Good working knowledge of inspection methods for Printed Circuit Boards and familiarity with usage of calipers, micrometers and microscopes.

Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats.

EDUCATION and TRAINING : High school diploma or equivalent.
