Assistant Logistics Manager (Nashville, LaVergne area)

Our Delivery Driver Manager will provide services and manage the driver pool throughout the Nashville,

LaVergne and Franklin area market by exhibiting solid leadership, sharp business acumen and daily presence in the marketplace. This is not a desk job.

Recruit, set up orientation and assess independent contract drivers and their qualifications.

Ensure that the scheduled number of drivers required per customer request is met through daily morning check-in procedure.

Coordinate with drivers, staff and management to hold meetings and resolve issues when necessary.

Maintain costs and profits within the budget.

Manage accurate payable records of drivers and report to corporate weekly.

Arrange for onsite periodical inspections of vehicles in use to ensure customer delivery schedules can be consistently met.

Develop amiable, genuine and supportive relations with drivers on a personal and professional level and collaborate to handle issues quickly.

Coordinate with drivers to Ensure timely pickup and delivery of product.

Keep abreast with latest technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy of services provided.

Regularly visit customer locations, assess needs and act quickly to customer feedback.

Report and communicate to corporate office to ensure operational guidelines and customer needs are met daily.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
