As a Direct Support Professional, DSP with Georgia MENTOR, you’ll be one of those extraordinary people. This positionsupports individuals we serve in residential settings.

We seek creative support professionals to effectively respond to behaviors while keeping the people we serve actively engaged.

Provide assistance with daily activities such as mealpreparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care.

In thisrole you will also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individualson outings in the community or providing transportation to work or otheractivities.

Our DSPs also partnerwith clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in place.

Qualifications :

What we require of you :

High school diploma, GEDor equivalent

Must be minimum of 18 years of age

Minimum of one year of experience in Direct Care strongly preferred

Valid Georgia Driver’s license with no suspensions due to moving violations in past 3 years

Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Must be able to successfully passour licensure and background check process including education verification

Initial Training Requirement Paid Training :

Two week, paid Orientation consisting of 8 days of classroominstruction with 2 days of shadowing.
