Legend Brands is seeking a Human Resource Generalist with an emphasis in and passion for recruiting for our Burlington WA offices. This position will assist in the daily functions of the Human Resource department including recruiting and hiring staff. The candidate will provide functional expertise in administration and coordination of HR systems, employee relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and all areas of human resources as required to support business operations.

Position Overview:

Oversee and conduct all aspects of recruiting and staffing logistics including recruiting strategy, interviewing, hiring and follow-up

Work with the HR Director to manage and conduct the company on-boarding process

Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to make recommendations to for corrective action and continuous improvement

Create and edit legal job descriptions and interview guides

Assist in implementing and administrating policies, plans and procedures for all company employees

Keep current on knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and make recommendations to HR Director for updating policy and systems as required

Conduct HR related studies and prepare reports as needed for HR and Executive Management

Must have the ability to perform these functions and have at least 7 years’ experience in these areas:

Deep understanding of Washington State Labor Law and employment equity regulations

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, practices, and standards of human resources management

Ability to gain understanding of complex and technical job descriptions quickly and ascertain if candidates meet those requirements

Knowledge of recruiting techniques and sources and experience with recruiting for various levels and types of positions

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

Strong self-organizational skills with ability to prioritize and plan work activities

Ability to multi-task is essential in order to work under pressure and manage competing demands

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional documents, technical material and company data

Ability to analyze facts and exhibit sound and accurate judgment in arriving at conclusions

Ability to approach others in a tactful manner, react well under pressure, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position

Ability to make timely decisions, explain reasoning for decisions, and include appropriate people in decision-making process

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, candidates, and the general public

Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government laws

Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness

Strong computer literacy with solid capability with MS Office Suite

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management preferred or the knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree

Minimum 7 years' related experience or training, with proven success in a fast-paced environment (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)

Industry experience in manufacturing preferred

Experience presenting to groups of all sizes

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

HR Certified Professional preferred OR,

Ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
