Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Get to Do:We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized software developer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and development for commercial off-the-shelf software, government off-the-shelf software, and other software being developed in support of the Performance Assessment department.More About the Role:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide PA11 DDG1000 software tool troubleshooting support as needed
Attend scheduled meetings: weekly PA11 and DDG1000 team meetings and weekly DDG1000 Software development meetings
Check in software changes daily into a development branch in the Git configuration management system
Update software build and user procedure documentation as needed
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience
A good understanding of Java
Model View Controller design pattern
Git practices
Kanban board management
Agile methodologies
Front-end and back-end utilization
Experience interfacing with databases
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience with Java 9+ modules
Experience interfacing with and configuring a MongoDB server
Experience interfacing with and configuring a PostgreSQL server
Experience with JavaFX
Experience with designing and automating builds with ANT scripts
Experience with Windows shell commands
Experience with thread-safe execution
Familiar with the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment
Familiar with the Atlassian Jira task and bug tracking program and other Atlassian products
