Job Description

As the product lead for recommended notifications, you'll help customers stay informed about their interests, and discover opportunities to (re)join the public conversation when they're not using Twitter. You'll work with an awesome team of data scientists, researchers, designers, and engineers to build new notification experiences powered by large-scale machine learning. These notifications are so important to Twitter customers, we call them MagicRecs!

Why it matters: Every day, recommended notifications help millions of people find a personalized path back to Twitter. Our team drives important company growth, and focuses on long-term customer needs over short-term clicks and open rates. We deliver value by recommending the best content at the right times for Twitter customers all around the world.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build a deep understanding of different Notifications customers and the specific needs our team can help serve

  • Develop a product roadmap that prioritizes high-impact customers solutions and contributes to important company goals

  • Work with our research, design, data science, and engineering partners to build, test, and deliver new recommended Notifications product experiences

  • Advocate for the customer as our team builds and improve its recommendation models

  • Help foster a phenomenal product culture within our growing, distributed technical team

Qualifications

What it takes:

  • You're passionate about building products people love.

  • You have a solid understanding of engineering, familiarity with data science, and technical depth that lets you communicate with and earn the respect of world-class engineers.

  • You have experience with machine learning, ranking/relevance systems, and experimentation

  • You are creative and ambitious. You're a self-starter with analytical problem solving skills.

  • 5+ years experience in product management

  • B.S in Computer Science (or equivalent)
