You will identify, evaluate, mitigate and monitor the company’s property, casualty, and management liability risks.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate systems to identify, evaluate, monitor and reduce/eliminate liability risk exposures
Creates and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation and industry practices
Develops, coordinates and promotes organization-wide programs for understanding risks and risk management strategies
Direct and/or develop property loss prevention strategies and persuades business partners to support such strategies
Manage occurrence and risk assessment reporting, data collection, analysis, tracking and trending
Coordinate and manage multiple parties involved in handling claims to control the cost of retained losses, if any
Counsel and educate management and associates on risk exposures, prevention and reduction strategies
Manage retained liabilities, including claims handling and calculation of reserves for outstanding liabilities
Coordinate with business units on various activities including data gathering, responding to inquiries, contract review/compliance, training/webinar efforts, acquisition due diligence/integration and RMIS use
Select insurance vendors, including negotiation of insurance coverage and cost, and management of related service vendors
Liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and department leads
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Risk Management or P&C Insurance
Proven strategic thinker and thought leader with superior analytical and problem solving skills
CRM, ARM or CPCU designations preferred
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work seamlessly across organizational units required.
Highly developed organizational skills; must be detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers
