Full salary range: $41,808.00 - $53,788.80
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Job summary:
Under immediate direction, maintains, constructs and repairs City streets, sidewalks, catch basins and storm drains. Removes snow and leaves from roadways.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Six months experience in street construction and maintenance required. Must live within 17 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City, Iowa within one year of appointment to the position. Valid Iowa Class B commercial driver's license with satisfactory driving record required. Valid Iowa Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements required within 6 months of hire. This position is subject to federal drug testing requirements including screening through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. A pre-employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
One year experience in street construction and maintenance preferred.
