Overview

The CDC Foundation is seeking an Enterprise Architect in the Federated States of Micronesia.

Responsibilities

Assist the Department of Health and Social Affairs in the development of short and long term IT infrastructure plans to enhance disease surveillance, outbreak response, and contact tracing operations and to establish Electronic Case Reporting.

Support system modernization projects, data exchange and integration efforts with health providers, expansion of analytics capabilities, and security improvements.

Work with network engineer and EHR developer

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience as Enterprise or Data Architect in a health organization; Experience with multiple technology platforms (e.g., Java, SQL, cloud, etc.) and

Masters in Public Health Informatics, or Masters of Public Health with significant experience in informatics or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 5 years of informatics experience required.

Required competency in one or more ETL operation capable languages (e.g. SAS, Python, R, Java, Ruby, etc.) principles.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) environments, including table and query management and task automation is preferred.

Experience with data exchange and integration methods (e.g., APIs, JSON, etc.) and messaging standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, X12)

Familiarity with communicating data flow, database architecture, and ETL workflows, such as in Uniform Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, preferred.

Highly detail oriented; demonstrates a high degree of initiative and flexibility; able to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner; able to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines; and possesses strong analytical skills.

Strong technical skills, including practical experience in some or all of database management, entity resolution/linkage, ETL operations, report generation, data visualization, and automation.

Strong office productivity suite skills including word processing, spreadsheet development, and email, with a particular emphasis on proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to link these office systems to database actions (e.g. automating the email of a report) desired.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with particular experience reviewing and editing documents.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial; energetic; and able to develop productive relationships with a diverse set of colleagues, stakeholders, and partners.
