Since 1995, the CDC Foundation has launched approximately 1,000 programs and has served as a strategic partner to CDC during public health emergencies. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nation’s lead agency charged with protecting the public's health.

Responsibilities

· This is a supervisory communicable disease coordination, immunization or quarantine work.

· Supervises a unit performing a variety of complex duties in the immunization, investigation, prevention, control and treatment of communicable diseases.

· Supervises coordination activities for screening and detection process for communicable disease.

· Supervises field work needed in locating patients, contacts and suspects of various communicable diseases

· Ensures that the necessary treatment and control procedures are followed by patients to prevent any further spread of the disease.

· Supervises maintenance of records of cases and reporting system to ensure accurate collection of data for evaluation, operational and statistical analysis.

· Coordinates plans, budget, and grant applications of all program activities.

· Prepares amendments to regulations and procedures to incorporate the latest medical protocol recommended by U.S. CDC.

· Coordinates treatment regime, referral procedures and other outside consultation services.

· Evaluates the effectiveness of control activities and services of the health response activities and recommends changes to enhance program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

· Three (3) years of experience in communicable disease control and graduation from a recognized or accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in the health sciences or closely related field.
