Position is onsite at our new Design Center, Tuesday through Saturday 9-5:30

We are seeking a dynamic and honest individual who is an experienced and expert cashier with the utmost integrity. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage many concurrent projects efficiently and effectively. Candidate must be dependable, happy, energetic, and very easy to communicate with.

Overview of the Position:

- This is a very hands-on position in a fast-paced, high-end fabric and furniture store.

- You will likely be the last interaction with our client before leaving the store and must ensure the customer is satisfied and encouraged to come back. Engaging with customers and attention to detail are both extremely important in this role.

- Must have complete understanding of register procedures, policies, and paperwork.

- Supervises the closing of all registers at the end of business hours

- Aid the controller in the handling of sales transactions.

- Collects correct information when processing all charge purchases.

- Handles all register procedures in a courteous and friendly manner.

- Sees that all telephones are promptly answered with a smile; connects callers with the proper department or ensures that a message is taken.

- Ensures cashier team is greeting every client and providing excellent customer service.

- The physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job: Required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands and have ability to reach overhead. Regular lifting or moving of up to 10lbs, possibly up to 35lbs. Requires bending, stooping, and ability to climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus and ability to write, count, and read required shipping/ company paperwork

- Ring up numerous sales in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to accuracy in managing large complicated purchases

- Trustworthy and honest with the ability to reconcile numerous payments daily from many different departments.

- Strong math skills

- Answer the phone while multitasking.

- Administrative duties including the following: filing paperwork, calling customers regarding orders, and updating inventory.

- Customer service that exceeds client and vendor expectations, with a strong focus on the following:

- patiently helping customers make selections

- problem resolution and avoidance

- Greeting clients and answering the phone promptly

-Vendor interaction to monitor and process orders for high-end fabrics and trimmings

-Establish strong relationships with vendors and customers

-Establish and maintain a reputation of credibility and responsiveness in the marketplace by promptly returning vendor and customers emails/ phone calls and ensure timely follow up on outstanding issues

- High school diploma required/ Bachelor's preferred

- Must enjoy staying busy and handling many concurrent projects effectively and efficiently

- Self starter

- 8+ years retail cashier experience

- Professional demeanor and personal presentation highly coveted, with excellent hygiene

- Significant time management, organization, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and prioritization skills

- Strong computer proficiency

- Ability to take on new responsibilities and work effectively under pressure and time constraints

- Ability to multitask

- Highly organized with dependable follow through essential

-Team player

-Ability to accept constructive criticism and accept management instructions

- Patience to repeat or redo projects through multiple layers of edits/ revisions

- Experience in furniture or fabric a plus
