The Cloud Platform organization is responsible for vSphere, our Core Virtualization Infrastructure, and Solutions for Enterprise Virtualization. The Core Graphics group is part of our Cloud Platform R&D team, responsible for the vSphere and vCenter suite of products.We are seeking a software engineer to be a part of our Core Graphics group. The Core Graphics Group is responsible for making the 3D experience inside a virtual machine as good as native. We work on the latest industry standard 3D API’s for all of VMware’s products. We work on delivering the best local and remote experience possible for virtualization users. We enable GPUs and AI / ML workloads on vSphere platform. Core Graphics team solve forward looking problems in the context of scalability and availability in an enterprise environment.The Core Graphics team will challenge your skills at all levels in the software stack. Write user space code which emulates real hardware. Design para virtualized hardware interfaces for maximum video and I/O performance. Write drivers, kernel modules, binary translators for all the latest DirectX and OpenGL Shaders. Get your hands dirty with the lowest and the highest levels of Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Challenge your knowledge of 2D acceleration architectures, video emulation and AI / ML workloads.
