The Regional Sales Manager Life Science Automation leads all aspects of and encourages a direct sales team located across the territory for the automation product line.

The incumbent will be driving profitable revenue growth.

S / he has the autonomy to action and executes against given global and regional goals and objectives, measuring and guiding the performance of the local business and team.

S / he gets results through outstanding followership, consistently championing and supporting a workplace of continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance on an individual and team basis.

What we are looking for in a People Manager

Deploy sales quotas and objectives across the regional team based on achieving above-market growth for his / her product line.

Collaborate with other regional sales managers to implement business processes across North America.

Contribute to an outstanding commercial process by consistently driving funnel management, metrics, and compensation programs.

Lead territory through the daily funnel and weekly forecast management.

Approve quotes within his / her approval levels, review contracts for business terms, and pricing.

Responsible for the development of a team with an active succession plan in place.

Embrace the Danaher core values and the use of Danaher Business Systems (DBS), and ensure all associates are actively engaged in the achievement of the company’s growth objectives.

Continuously drive Voice of the Customer (VOC) back into all parts of the business to ensure customer’s interests are prominently positioned.

Represent the organization in customer-facing sales, trade shows, seminars, conferences, and other official occasions.

Advocate for the customer, for product quality, and for providing excellent customer solutions and consistently strive to increase customer happiness.

Analyze competitive market share, win / loss data and fully understand competitive selling strategies, and work with the business unit and field marketing to build strategy upon the data.

Work collaboratively with both BEC LS field-based and office-based specialists, as well as other Danaher Operating Companies.

Up to 50% overnight travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific specializations

Experience in the Life Sciences, Diagnostics or Scientific Equipment markets or at least 5+ years working in sales roles

Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and a wonderful eye for business

Previous exposure to liquid handling automation highly desirable

Demonstrate collaborative teamwork across the organization

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team and willing to take action environment

Displays integrity

Able to align with administrative tasks, such as compliance training and expenses, on time.

Familiar with Salesforce

Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications
