About the Program

Driftwood Lodge RTF is a beautiful 8-bed mental health Residential Treatment Facility converted from an old fishing lodge with ocean views. Driftwood Lodge is located in Gold Beach, Oregon at the mouth of the famous Rogue River on the beautiful Southern Oregon coast.

About the Position

We are looking to hire an On Call Mental Health Associate at our Driftwood Lodge location in Gold Beach, Oregon. There is potential to work full-time hours by accepting multiple shifts. These shifts can either be at their current program or at other nearby programs. On Call staff also have first priority for any internal positions that allow more hours or a promotional opportunity. You will have an opportunity to specify your availability on our online application. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client suffering with mental illness (e.g. memory care unit at an Assisted Living Facility), then this position might be a good fit for you.

Work Schedule: Days/Hours will vary and may include weekends & NOC Shifts

This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Please keep the following things in mind:

On Call staff must work at least 24 hours per month to stay active on our roster

Attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month

Stay current on company training

Respond to facility requesting coverage within 4 hours of initial call. In some cases, more notice can be provided, up to three weeks’ advance notice

Qualifications

PREFER QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)

State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria:

a) Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

b) OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

Successful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $15.00 per hour/DOE and QMHA credentials. We offer an On Call Incentive Bonus and an additional $1.50 per hour graveyard shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees (30 hours per week), Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, 9 paid Holidays per year (eligible immediately), substantial Sick Accruals (12 days per year each) and Wellness Benefit of $400 per year.
