Direct Support Professional

Job Description

Sioux Falls HireQuest is looking for a Direct Support Professional for a client in the area! This is a temp-to-hire position with both full-time and part-time hours available. Pay is $12.00-12.75 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Provide quality assistance with personal care

Perform safe transfers and repositioning specific for each person's needs

Recognize, report, and react to any safety hazards in all environments and in a timely manner

Maintain knowledge and ensure implementation of each person's individualized support plan

Assist with following dietary requirements and individual diet plans

Complete and accurate documentation in all required areas

Complete cleaning and laundry task as assigned

Consistently taking the initiative to complete job requirements

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Sincere interest in assisting people reach personal goals

Ability to lift and transfer people

Must pass criminal records/background check and drug screening

Ability to stay awake and alert during all shifts

Ability to work in awkward positions.

Ability to work in sustained flexion and crouched positions

Ability kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs. push, pull, bend, reach
