Fire Alarm and Security Technician with Local Family Business (Essex Junction)

In this position, you would be working between our commercial Fire Alarm Divison and Electronic Security Division (which includes but not limited to: Camera Surveillance, Door Access, Intrusion Alarm Systems, etc)

Technicians must be organized, positive, be critical thinkers, and have the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively and efficiently, all while providing our clients with an exceptional experience.

Technicians are assigned specialty tools to perform their tasks but shall provide all hand tools and power drills/hammer drill/impact driver etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install and service Fire & Security Systems, Access Control Systems, Networked Camera Surveillance Systems, and much more

Install wiring and low voltage Security Devices

Maintain very detailed records/documents of work performed

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to climb up and down ladders, including extension ladders - all-day

Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs

Must be able to carry tools and ladders up and down stairs etc

Work with your hands above your head

Passion for customer service and a very high quality of work

Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Previous experience with networking devices, systems, and IT processes

Ability to pull/fish wire in commercial and residential atmospheres

A high school diploma and relevant electronics technical training

Ability to work unsupervised and exhibit good time management

We will consider a similar technical field or have 2-3-year field experience with a vocational school degree

Must possess a valid driver's licenserequired
