An Opportunity to Think Different

A career with us is an opportunity to think differently—and make a difference. Our desire is to treat people with extraordinary care. As one of the nation’s major providers of eye surgery, we achieve this by working together with community family eye doctors. Rather than competing, we work alongside more than 1700 of these primary care experts throughout 6 states providing surgery when needed. As a referral center, we do not advertise.

Job Duties

Responsible for providing comfortable transportation for patients as scheduled. Assure that they arrive safely and on schedule.

Provide reassurance when needed in an effort to reduce any anxiety the patient may be feeling regarding impending services.

Check transportation schedule for the following day, call patient to confirm times and get directions to their home, and become familiar with route. Resolve any questions regarding directions, addresses, or times scheduled.

Assure that assigned vehicle is properly cleaned and stocked with all standard items.

Greet patients with courtesy and professionalism.

Maintain knowledge of services provided at PCLI such that you are able to answer basic questions.

Provide helpful assistance to patients in unrelated areas whenever the need arises and the schedule allows (i.e., a shut-in patient might really appreciate a brief stop at the post office or grocery store). Be sure that your extra effort will not cause a problem with the schedule for the remainder of the day.

Practice safe driving techniques and always obey traffic laws.

Occasional Handyman duties including minimal facility/grounds maintenance as requested

Our Culture

Our principle-centered team is passionate about people. And our higher mission is to be a positive influence on those around us. We believe in the Christian principles of love, kindness and compassion and strive to incorporate these in our patient care and the way we treat our staff.

Founded in 1985, Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute is made up of an exceptional group of physicians and warm, caring staff who bring a soft touch to the sophistication of eye surgery. Our organization compliments the skills of family eye doctors throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. New surgery centers are only established on the invitation of community optometrists. With 17 office locations, we are blessed with 560 wonderful staff that provide top caliber care with special expertise in cataract surgery and laser vision correction. Visitors are treated as special guests and a comfortable, homelike atmosphere reassures patients and minimizes fear of surgery.

Our mission is to provide the best possible service to doctors who entrust patients to our care. And our utmost duty is to treat these patients as we would wish to be treated. Our belief is that the highest quality of care is achieved when doctors in different areas of expertise combine their skills. For patients to realize the full benefits of this type of cooperative care, relationships between the doctors involved must be built on a solid foundation of mutual trust and respect.
