Nutkrack is Hiring a Seasonal Packaging and Retail Employee (East Madison)

Nutkrack is seeking a part-time packaging and retail employee for our shop on Atwood Ave. in Madison, WI. This may sound like a simple, normal job, but it is anything but. Nutkrack is the world's best candied pecan, and our company is growing at a ridiculous clip. Our sales were up 300% last year, and we are seeing more of the same in 2020. We are searching for people who want more than just a normal job. Our ideal new colleague will be smart and self-driven, the type of person who finishes their assigned task early, and looks for the next thing to do without being asked. While your first priority will be helping us make and package our amazing nuts, you might find yourself doing any of the million different things it takes to run a growing small business that is about to take the world by storm! You will have the chance to learn how to build something from the ground up, and feel the satisfaction that comes with creating an amazing product and business. Does this sound like you? Candidates should have excellent communication skills, good basic math skills, be self-motivated and able to multi-task a wide range of duties. Candidates must also be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably and repeatedly. Applicants must be reliable. We will train on food safety protocols and job duties. Duties will include product packaging tasks, one or more (curbside) retail shifts per week and other duties as needed. Willingness to do what is needed when it's needed is an expectation. High drive, sense of urgency and good organizational skills necessary.

This position is part-time: 20-30 hours, weekend availability is a must, specific days and shift times somewhat negotiable. It is also seasonal, running through the end of this year. A permanent position may or may not be offered at that time, based on need.
