Network Engineer
The Network Engineer is responsible for planning, engineering and support of the IT network, including LAN/WAN and security hardware. The position will require after-hours support to ensure timely resolution of company support needs. We offer Enterprise Class IT Internet Service to small and medium sized businesses and residences on the Central Coast.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
-Designs, implements, and upgrades IT telecommunications networks.
-Responds in a timely manner, communicates necessary information to relevant support teams and impacted staff, and documents resolution.
-Oversees day-to-day operation of the platform
Job Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science or related discipline; or equivalent job-related experience as determined by management.
-4 years in related IT field supporting customer/enterprise environments
-Good customer and vendor management skills.
-Network LAN and WAN (STP, OSPF, MPLS, QOS)
-Cisco and SonicWall firewalls, routers and switches
-SNMP and network management
