Carpenter / General Labor (Thomaville)

We are a small shop that specializes in broadcast studio construction Local examples of our work include Fox 8 WGHP and WXII Channel 12, though we routinely build sets for studios all over the US We are currently looking for a semi-experienced and/or experienced carpenter willing to learn the ins and outs of our industry and general laborer to help keep our shop clean and assist with building set pieces

Most of the items we build are not overly complex but our construction methods are typically different then framing houses or building cabinets, so a willingness to learn new methods is a must Familiarity with saws, pneumatic and cordless tools is preferred and having your own drills and hand tools is a big plus Compensation for the carpenter position will start at $14/hr and go up with demonstration of skill

We are also in need of a laborer to help maintain/clean our 15,000 sqft building and help other employees with their builds when they need a second set of hands Additionally will be tasked with cleaning and wrapping finished products for shipping preparation Compensation for the laborer positions will be $10/hr… We’ve had several laborers transition into carpenters, so if you’re willing to learn the trade we are certainly willing to teach…
