DescriptionEstablished and reputable fintech organization in the East Bay has an immediate opening for a remote Compliance Analyst. This Compliance Analyst will join a team of legal, regulatory, and compliance professionals and will focus on mortgage industry compliance and regulations. Under the guidance of attorneys, you'll focus on reviewing statutes, regulations, agency guidance and related materials relevant to the residential mortgage industry in the US to produce written summaries and action items to ensure company compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working in a compliance and/or regulatory capacity within the mortgage industry. Responsibilities will include:

Review and research governing statutes and regulations relevant to the residential mortgage industry in the US

Summarize legal requirements and processes required by said statues and regulations

Identify standards and best practices to ensure legal compliance

Index compliance and regulatory materials for future retrieval

Follow writing and quality standards and styles in existing content

2-5+ years of experience working in a compliance and/or regulatory capacity within the mortgage industry

JD preferred but not required

The ability to work remotely; candidates from around the US are encouraged to apply

Strong legal writing and editing skills

Ability to summarize legal requirements for a non-legal audience

Strong legal research skills

Understanding of terminology and processes in residential mortgage
