Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties began in 1996 and now serves over 3,300 club members each year at 27 club locations with an average daily attendance of more than 1,000 youth. Our annual budget is $5.8 million. The Club is currently working with community partners to establish additional club sites in underserved communities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing & Development Associate will serve in a critical administrative role, reporting to the Director of Development, but working closely with Senior Leadership, the finance department, and donors. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the organization’s social media presence, preparing and organizing emails, updating website content, and supporting general organizational communications needs. The position will also support special fundraising events, coordinating mailings as well as maintaining the organization’s donor database and is critical to the operations of the development department and donor cultivation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree Preferred.

Proficient in all aspects of social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, YouTube, and other emerging technologies.

At least 2 years of working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).

Creative skills – must demonstrate the ability to create visually appealing flyers and marketing materials. Graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.

Exquisite communication and people skills

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to resolve complex problems; think critically using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Ability to enter data accurately and in a timely manner with high attention to detail.

Familiarity in creating forms and developing procedures.

JOB DUTIES:

Provide administrative support to the Director of Development with all aspects of maintaining donor relationships, including scheduling meetings, planning logistics for meetings, coordinating mailings; maintain departmental files; generate and compile collateral materials; and provide other standard clerical and organizational function for philanthropy as required or assigned by supervisor.

Support donor cultivation and fundraising events by assisting in planning, logistics, communications, presentation materials, and donor follow up.

Draft donor correspondence such as appeals, pledge reminders, invoices, gift acknowledgement letters, stewardship communications, and other donor communication materials.

Assist in developing and maintaining marketing materials for Club programs and initiatives.

Assist with the production and publication of organizational content of organizational website and social media accounts, as well as managing analytics.

Process donations and ensure gift entries in the database match records maintained in accounting and support reconciliation of differences monthly, or as needed.

Work with staff to create, update, and maintain data entry standards and ensure the database is used properly by all staff members and meets the needs of the organization, while overseeing data integrity.

Serve as staff liaison, along with the Director of Development, to all resource development committees/task forces.

Assist in other areas as needed.
