Our company is one of the leading commercial landscape contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area. We specialize in large public works projects, and we also provide service to private entities.

Our projects include office, retail, affordable housing, senior living, and universities. We are seeking a Landscape Construction Estimator to join the team! The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in construction estimating.

They will be responsible for bidding on high-profile projects for top general contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Create a comprehensive estimate utilizing takeoff software OST and bidding software.

Review documents, requests for estimates, and site.

Complete takeoff for landscape, irrigation, and site development scope.

Analyze estimate for errors or omissions.

Obtain clarification of questions, conflicts, and omissions in bid documents and at the work site.

Present estimate to the Chief Estimator.

Maintain resource information (material catalogs, spec sheets, vendor info, equipment specs, etc.)

Help finalize prime contract bids.

Create proposals and complete estimates for assigned projects.

Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes.

Review, interpret, and quantify estimate cost.

Analyze work in technical specification documents.

Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.

Oversee bid activities, including change orders and revisions.

Obtain and analyze subcontractor and vendor budgets and quotations.

Participate in proposal presentations and project scope discussions.

Collaborate with the construction department on estimating schedules and labor requirements.

Lead pre-construction meetings.

Qualifications :

2+ years of Construction Estimating experience.

Strong knowledge about landscape irrigation.

Ability to calculate landscape planting, import / export soil, site furnishings, and hardscape.

Ability to read construction plans (architectural, civil, and landscape sheets and specs).

Proficient with on screen take-offs.

Experience with prevailing wage projects.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively.
