Hotel Housekeeper - Glacier National Park - Summer/Fall 2020 (Essex, MT)

The Izaak Walton Inn is looking to fulfill hotel housekeeper positions for the Summer/Fall 2020. We are looking for active, adventurous and applicants with a great attitude.

Job Summary:

Provide housekeeping services to guest rooms and public areas within the hotel and outlying properties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In addition to general housekeeping tasks, housekeepers will be responsible for the following:

Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, and event areas as well as guest rooms

Organize work schedule from the room status list: Arrivals first then moving on to departure rooms

Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand

Restock room supplies

Replace linens

Inspect and turn mattresses regularly

Store all dirty laundry in line with company policies

Respond to guest inquiries and requests

Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses

Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms

Organize and restock cart at the end of the shift

Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms

Follow all company safety and security procedures

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards

Observe and report damage of hotel property

Knowledge and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products

Knowledge of operating cleaning equipment

Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
