Family Care Specialist (Eugene)

Maple Star Oregon, a non-profit social service agency serving youth and families since 1998, is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to fulfill an opening as a Family Care Specialist in Lane County. A Family Care Specialist is responsible for providing In-Home Safety and Reunification Services (ISRS) to families on their caseload referred from DHS. Responsibilities include meeting with families in their homes and, at times, community settings to provide parent training and/or remediate safety threats/concerns as detailed by DHS. Ability to work irregular hours at times will be necessary. Reliable transportation is needed as extensive driving may be required, with mileage reimbursement. Impeccable working relationships with DHS are essential.

An ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in social services, or a closely related field, with a preference for at least two years of social work experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be highly organized and able to manage time efficiently. Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and/or Collaborative Problem Solving is desired.

Applicants must reside in Lane County and have reliable internet access. This position will be based in a home office with equipment provided by the agency.
