The Director, Campaign Strategists will lead our Account Management teams and help define, develop, hire, and train our future Campaign Strategist positions.

The Director will be responsible for all aspects of client services including helping the team to quarterback new deals through our processes, optimizing those deals for performance and delivery, making recommendations on creative performance, support preparing sales pitches with the Partner Plus team, and help drive the continued automation of our ad platforms / technology.

This role is essential in leading the teams that are creating and executing plans that meet client demand generation and performance goals, using various tactics including content syndication, display, and social, working closely with cross functional team members (e.

g., Analytics, Audience Extension, SEM, Programmatic, Ad Ops, etc.). The leader will manage the overall performance of the people and processes needed to achieve departmental and Operations Advertising team goals.

The leader will serve as an integral member of the Vice President’s leadership team. Further, the Director will work closely with Consumer Solutions leadership in the development of overall Operations Advertising and contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic goals by leading, directing, planning, implementing and overseeing operational activities.

Identify the best digital (and / or traditional) media tactics to support overall client goals and working through direct reports to execute on those tactics.

Build, develop, implement and maintain integrated client media plans that deliver against client goals.

Responsible for the professional development of direct reports, determining correct staffing levels by account or client, and identifying and recruiting talent.

Create insightful client facing media plans and be able to present confidently to clients, in conjunction with the Partner Plus team.

Actively drive the planning, buying and campaign execution process and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Pull audience and data insights with regard to planning and optimizing media buys.

Analyzing new opportunities with prospects and providing strategy guidance.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure media is driving to goals.

Ensure campaign pacing and frequency is on track.

Work closely with Ad Ops on campaign launches and adherence to Insertion Orders.

Pay very close attention to detail by evaluating all client initiatives and keeping informed of new promotions, offers, changes to the site, etc.

Provide consultative services & make recommendations to upgrade client campaigns.

Stay closely up to date on industry trends.

Overnight travel (up to 10%)

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred

10+ years of relevant experience in the digital advertising environment.

5+ years’ experience successfully leading and coaching a team

Proven ability to develop strong, productive team often from the ground up including identifying new talent and capabilities.

Extensive experience working with agencies, agency trading desks, DSP’s, and other publisher operations.

Extensive knowledge and ability to monitor and develop QA processes, ensuring high-quality delivery of all team responsibilities.

Solid understanding of the advertising technology landscape, and experience interacting with many of the leading players across the industry.

Experience interacting directly with sales and product teams, and playing a hands-on role in helping to find options and solutions to client challenges.

Superior project management skills. Ability to juggle multiple initiatives and keep team members on track, on time and on budget.

Proven ability to identify and build revenue opportunities from within Ad Operations.

Experience creating and managing an annual budget.

Excellent communication and relationship skills with all levels of leadership and staff; outstanding presentation & speaking skills.

Superb attention to detail and organizational abilities, ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance and solutions for complex business challenges.

Significant experience with industry leading ad server platforms; DoubleClick DFP / DFA preferred.

Significant personal computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
