Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Manager to join and expand our distinguished team to be the Systems Engineering Department Manager for a set of programs in Texas.The Manager is responsible for the Systems Engineering process and discipline consistency across all IPTs on the programs the Department Manager is assigned.The Manager will provide leadership and direction on those items for all IPTs on the programs and ensure that SEIT direction is implemented consistently across the program and subcontractors.Job Description:Responsible for technical and process execution for Systems Engineering, Integration and Test disciplines across the program to include discipline authority over all aspects of the Systems Engineering activities on the program.Responsible for ensuring that Systems Engineering contributes to the successful execution of program’s technical, schedule, cost and process baselines.Manage Systems Engineering to drive disciplined execution and periodic reporting to ensure schedule and cost are being met across the organization.Responsible to ensure Earned Value, Estimates at Complete and Customer Change estimates are in line with discipline expectations and metrics.Ensure Systems Engineering is staffed with the right technical and capable engineering staff to meet technical, cost and schedule objectives.Provide oversight and review engineering metrics.Provide summary analysis and action plans to ensure Systems Engineering performance is in line with the Engineering Discipline and program performance expectations.Ensure application of Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) as a means for measuring technical progress and assessing risk.Identify discipline risks and opportunities to influence the program execution.Responsible to make sure SE subcontract performance is in line with SEIT direction and expectations.Responsible for ensuring Discipline strategies are executed and that Systems Engineering personnel on the program are trained with the right skills and basic performance expectations are flawless.Responsible for ensuring Discipline schedules are met.Responsible for ensuring alignment of program processes with contract guidelines and corporate process systems.Identify and exploit synergies across the programs and across the Enterprise.Execute processes and procedures across the program that ensure consistency within the organization.Ensure process compliance, including appropriate process tailoring.Required Skills:12 years of related work experience requiredExperience performing and/or managing large software and systems development programs across multiple environmentsWorking knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines with a strong focus on Large Scale Software Development, Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Executive level communication skillsProven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence the decision making process.
